Jammu, Jan 2: The members of Aam Aadmi Party are sitting on three days peaceful Hunger Strike in the premises of Government Medical College Hospital, Bakshi Nagar, to awaken the J&K Government's Health Department regarding the bad sanitation condition of the toilets, bathrooms. They alleged that the State Government Health Department has failed to do so even after the repeated requests of the Aam Aadmi Party. While Raj Kumar and Vipul Bali continued their hunger strike for the second consecutive day, Rani Devi ended her fast after one day. New batch of Aam Aadmi members comprising of Anita Gupta, Balbir Singh, Harpreet Singh, accompanied them today. Not only the Doctors, Staff, Officers but the general public and attendants from all walks of life appreciated the move and initiative taken by Aam Aadmi Party Volunteers. While promising the volunteers of AAP, the general public and attendants in particular assured that they will keep utmost care to keep the bathrooms, toilets of the hospital clean. Some of the attendants companied that they are being forced to pay Rs. 5/- per person in the emergency ward toilets by the staff of the hospital without giving any proper receipt and under the knowledge of the superiors. |
