Miscreant' slaps lady cop, booked 1/2/2016 11:43:54 PM Early Times Report Jammu Jan 2 : In a case of apparent rowdiness, police booked one miscreant under relevant sections for allegedly slapping a lady constable in full public view. A case stands registered in this regard at Nowabad Police Station "The accused has been identified as Mudassir Ahmed of Bathindi, police said. According to police sources, the incident took place at Dogra Chowk when the lady cop halted a Swift Dezire car as a procession was in progress. "The youth who was driving without registration number car got off and in fit of rage slapped the said lady cop in full public glare, sources said, adding, "he however was over powered by the other cops on duty when he tried to escape from the spot." "The miscreant slapped the lady cop who was deputed to give safe passage to the procession, a senior police officer said, adding, "the miscreant was driving the without registration number Dezire vehicle and the lady cop halted him in view of security of procession especially in the wake of Pathankot terror attack after which high alert had been sounded in the Jammu."
