Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 2: Jammu district recorded a jump of 72 cases in 2015 as against 4,415 cases in 2014, 4,487 cases were registered in all its police stations in 2015. 4,761 cases were recorded in the district in 2013. For the fourth consecutive year, Domana police station registered the highest number of cases in Jammu while Gandhi Nagar PS, Nagrota PS and Trikuta Nagar PS bagged second, third and fourth slots respectively. Against the 460 cases registered at Domana police station in 2014, 385 cases were recorded in 2015, 75 less than the previous year. Five hundred and two cases were recorded in 2013 and 457 in 2012. Gandhi Nagar police station was at No 2 position with 312 cases. In 2014, it was at No 3 position with 300 cases. Nagrota police station, which is at No 3, recorded 307 cases in 2015. In 2014, this police station was at No 4 position, but in 2015, the No 4 position was held by Trikuta Nagar police station with 306 cases against 241 recorded by it in 2014. Two hundred and eight four cases were recorded at Satwari police station, which is at No 5 position. The last position is held by the woman police station with 59 cases. It recorded 118 cases in 2014. City, Bus Stand, Khour and Arnia police station did not cross the 100 mark in 2015. Most of the registered cases were related to theft, land disputes, rapes, murders and road accidents. The cases of suspicious deaths also showed a rise. Only 50 percent of these cases stand solved, according to police sources. The cases registered by other police stations include City - 78, Pucca Danga - 218, Bakshi Nagar - 174, Nawabad - 167, Pir Mitha - 84, Janipura - 220, Bus Stand - 72, Gangyal - 189, Bagh-e-Bahu - 112, Channi - 118, Jhajjar Kotli - 148, Gharota - 102, Bishnah - 175, Akhnoor - 236, Khour - 91, Kanhachak - 169, Miran Sahib - 193, R S Pura - 206 and Arnia - 82.
