LWWS stages street play Lakhari | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 2: Lalded Women Welfare Society (LWWS) today staged street play Lakhari at Kunjwani. The play was written by prominent social activist Rampaul Dogra, directed by Naveen Pal. This is story of a very passionate writer who leads as his own way without bothering for any liability at home. His family confronting difficulty but he keeps himself busy in writing poems and stories. In a beginning scene, Baigana is famous writer who is always participating each and musaira programs in which he presents his poem and gets appreciation. He receives overwhelming response from his friends. Meanwhile he loses ground at home because his family members dislike being his old fashioned style. His wife rebukes him all the time and to shun this culture that it does not support our children at all. The Lakhari does not compromise his mission and stay firm on his stand to promote his rich mother tongue, Dogri, culture through his pen. A time comes when his book gets national award and cash prize of a five lakh. So with changed scenario all his family get convinced and friends circle too but whole of is journey is painful with no certain income, discouraging them. However, the poet Anjana's writing was touching and meaningful. Those who performed in play were Rampaul Dogra (career counselor and actor), Naveen Pal (Actor and Director), Suraj Narayan, and others. The act was highly appreciated by audience. |
