Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) has urged the Government Medical College, Jammu to manage Factor-VIII (a life saving medicine) for the hemophilic patients at earliest. According to JKBWA spokesperson, a hemophilic patient belonging to the Batwal community who had hospitalized in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H), Jammu presently is being hospitalized and he is in dire need of life saving factor which is not available in the hospital. As per the directions of the High Court of J&K, both GMC, Srinagar and GMC, Jammu are required to manage Factor VIII 24 hours throughout the year for saving life of the Hemophilic patients surprisingly hospital management claimed that medicine (factor-8) is not available in the hospital. The Association urged the Principal, Government Medical College, Jammu to look into the matter and have the Factor VIII managed at his earliest convenience.
