| DPS Kathua holds Dance competition | | | Jammu, Dec 2: 'Thames House' of Delhi Public School, Rajbagh, Kathua was declared as winner in the Inter House Dance Competition organised in the school premises to celebrate New Year -2016.
The management, staff and students of this institution showed great zeal and enthusiasm in making the New Year celebrations a grand success. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the institution Nirmal Mahna impressed upon the students to remain alive to happenings in their surroundings and prepare themselve accordingly to meet any challenges posed to them in academics as well as social and civil lives.
Appreciating the winner house, she lauded the efforts of other groups who performed to their best and said that in DPS, Rajbagh children are made to grow and learn in a free atmosphere where they are made to learn more by experiences than through text books. Earlier, students shared their New Year resolutions on the stage and pledged to stick to them by all means. It was also impressed upon that 'There is no greater calling than to teach young people and DPS staff is good at it".
Mahna added that DPS Rajbagh recognizes individual identity of every child, his/her character, and student's humanity. Regarding learning as a sacred endeavour she said that everything in the school will reflect learning's elevated status for which she asked the staff and students to dress accordingly. |
