Early Times Report
kathua, Jan 2: Alleging that no action has been taken after Departmental enquiries over misuse of GPF /NPS and other funds under SSA in Zone Malhar- the School Education Employees Co ordination Committee (SEECC) Province Jammu today criticized education Department for failing to initiate action against the officers and officials responsible for misuse and misappropriation of funds for GPF and NPS amounting crores of rupees in Zone Malhar since 2007-08 till date.
In a press release SEECC members stated that several departmental enquiries were conducted since 2007-08 by Director School Education Jammu, CEO Kathua , DDC Kathua but it is a matter of great regret that no action was taken by the department authorities against the employees responsible for this fraud. They said that in all enquiries officials responsible for misuse of GPF/ NPS and other funds have been named but no action was taken against them. Recalling from past SEECC members said that all these embezzlements took place during 2007-08 to May 2013. After enquiry of District Development Commissioner Kathua GPF of Masters/ RET before 01-01-2010 amounting Rs 4 lacs of 70 teachers under NPS was credited into their GPF accounts, but 10% employees and state share of 46 RET teachers, 6th pay commission arrears under SSA has not been credited of all teachers. In the enquiries ZEO Malhar's account has been shown in deficit since 2010 to till 09-2015.
The aggrieved have requested Education Minister Naeem Akhter Sahab, Commissioner Secretary School Education and Director School Education to take action against the officials responsible for this fraud. They demanded immediate suspension of erring officials and filing of criminal case against them.
A delegation of SEECC shall meet with Education Minister and Commissioner Secretary School Education to demand action to provide justice to all teachers of Zone Malhar which is the last hope now.
Meanwhile a delegation of SEECC again called on CEO Kathua and demanded action in this regard.
Among those who comprised the delegation included Amar Nath Thakur, Provincial President SEECC, Satish Dutta, Sr Trade Union Leaders of JKTF, Yog Raj Singh, Tara Mani, Khushi Ram, Zonal President SEECC Malhar and others.
