| Three of family sustain critical burn injuries in stove blast | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 18: Three persons of a family received fatal burns injuries when a cooking stove burst in a house at Bhagwati Nagar area, this morning.
Police said, "The injured have been identified as Nisha Mehra (32) wife of Vishal Mehra, Vicky (26) son of Thoru Ram and Darshana Devi (55) wife of Thoru Ram all residents of Bhagwati Nagar area."
"Thoru Ram who is head of the family took all the injured to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for treatment where condition of all the injured is stated to be critical when last reports pour in, police added.
Police said that statements of the injured could not be recorded as the injured were fit for getting statement recorded.
Police said according to preliminary investigation it came to fore that a cooking stove burst which led to burn injuries to all. Meanwhile a case has been registered and further investigation is on in this regard.
Meanwhile, a 55 year-old woman who received burns two weeks ago at her residence in Talwara in Reasi district was shifted to GMCH for advance treatment.
Shakuntala w/o Surjeet was admitted in district hospital and today her condition started deteriorating following which she was referred to GMCH for advance treatment. |
