Hafiz Saeed, ISI join hands to unleash anti-India propaganda | | | Early Times Report jammu, Feb 18: Reports about Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), agency handling the Twitter account of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief and 2008 Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed has perturbed the intelligence agencies in India. Sources said that ISI is using Sayeed's twitter account to spread misinformation against India and unleashing propaganda. Recently, a Twitter account '@HafizSaeedLive' had raked up the Kashmir issue and JNU row and accused the Indian Government of fooling its own people. "Alleging me for #JNU protest based on a Fake account in my name is a prime example of how Indian Government fools its own people," one of the tweet read. The intelligence officials believe that the US-designated terrorist's Twitter account is being operated by ISI officials. The Indian Government is expected to soon request YouTube, Facebook and Twitter to block such accounts, sources said. A retired defense official while talking to Early Times said, "Pakistan is leaving no stone unturned to spread hatred against India and leaves no chance to bleed India." The official said, "Pakistan and terrorists operating there are taking advantage of our silence and are considering our desire for peace as our weakness. If ISI is handling the social networking accounts of the terrorists it's a serious issue and India should take it up with Pakistan." A politician said, "On one hand Pakistan wants to hold talks with India while on other hand it's leaving no chance to bleed us. India should make it clear that talks and terror cannot go hand in hand." He said, "We have had enough of assurances from Pakistan side. It's high time that we act against the terrorists and teach them a lesson." The politician said, "Our Army is capable of crossing over to the other side and teaching terrorists a lesson. We have had enough can't bear the pain and agony anymore." An army official said, "We have already informed the intelligence agencies that terrorists are using social networking sites to communicate with each other and many terrorists in JK are in touch with their handlers across the Line of Control (LoC) through these websites. If steps are not taken at the earliest to check their activities social networking sites could emerge as a big threat for the security agencies." Sources said the cyber cell of the security establishment is doing its best to counter such anti-India propaganda through social networking websites. Pertinently, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh last week had claimed that the event organised in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru had received "support" from Pakistan-based terror outfit LeT founder Hafiz Saeed, sparking a political storm. |
