GMC's AMT school re-advertises admission notice | | | GS Asgotra Early Times Report jammu, Feb 18: Taking cognizance of Early Times report regarding double yardsticks in selection and nomination of trainees in Ancillary Medical Training School, Jammu published on February 10, the administration on Thursday re-advertised admission notice of session 2015-16 for various paramedical courses in Jammu province. As per report, which was published on February 10 with title 'Major selection scam surface in GMC' AMT School' , was highlighted that without publication of final selection list of trainees in various courses of paramedical, the school administration had started the class works of nominated trainees which have been selected under Ministry quota. The report further revealed that under the influence of close aides of then Health Minister, the AMT' s In-charged Principal violating the norms of guidelines enacted in Jammu Kashmir Paramedical Council, started the class works of nominated trainees, while the final result of selected trainees was not declared by the AMT School, Jammu. The report further reveled, "Applying dual yardsticks in selection and nomination of trainees, the administration nominated the trainees who had passed 12th class with non-medical whereas in selection process of trainees, had mentioned that those students to be selected for paramedical courses who have passed Secondary examination with Medical (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). An RTI activist raising question over re-advertisement of admission notice said that the Training School administration saving their skin over dual yardsticks adopted in selection and nomination of trainees, has re-advertised the same but the scam of nomination of trainee under Ministerial quota still untouched by administration, adding, "As per guidelines of Indian Nursing Council, Jammu Kashmir Paramedical Council and even ruling of Apex court has suggested that the nomination under Ministerial quote should be filled up after completion of selection process", said RTI activist pleading not to be mentioned. He further said that the close aides of former Health Minister had forced the administration to get the course begun without completion of selection process. "If the selection process has been re-advertised then the already selected trainees list under Minister quota in different AMT schools and different ANMT schools operating across districts of Jammu province must be cancelled", he said. |
