SKUAST-NTEAJ reiterates demand of removal of tainted officers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 18: A meeting of Non-Teaching Employees Association was held under the chairmanship of its president President. A threadbare discussion was held on the issue of the demand for removal of tainted officers and the statement issued by SKUAST-TAJ. After a long discussion, it was unanimously decided that the demand is just and genuine and is based on facts that the post of Registrar be filled by IAS or senior most KAS officers on deputation basis. It is worthwhile to mention here that since the inception of SKUAST-Jammu, all the Registrars appointed within the teaching fraternity have failed to complete their designated tenure on one and other reasons. Most of them faced the vigilance enquiries of doing irregularities/corruption which has not only defamed the institution but also has put a considerable financial burden on account of legal standing counsel. The Association fully understands that the law will take its own course to punish the wrongdoers but at the same time, it is a hard fact that the esteemed State Vigilance Organisation has taken a considerable time to establish the facts to book these officers. Zamir-ul-Haq, General Secretary, NTEA has shown strong concern that the gravity of the issue is being ignored and Registrar being the custodian of the records of the University is involved in distorting the records is still holding the prestigious position and how is it possible that a fair investigation can be conducted. |
