Udhmapur, Mar 3 : Dr KC Sharma Chief Consultant Surgeon from Udhampur has been awarded "National Innovation Award-2015" on "National Science Day" Celebration function held at Raman auditorium, New Delhi on 1st March 2016 by Dr. Harsh Wardhan Minister of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. This Highest Award is given by S & T every five years. Dr. Sharma is the first Doctor in J&K State to receive this honour which consists of Rs. Two Lakh, Citation and a Memento. Dr KC Sharma a renowned rural surgeon who has served Ladakh to Lakhanpur and Poonch to Doda has number of Innovations in many fields i.e. 19 in Surgery (New Techniques, Body Structures and Instruments), Two in Medicine, One in Parasitology, Six in Ethno pharmacology, Two new Drugs, Six in Gynae and Obst, Eight in Ultrasound, Agriculture, authored Eight books and discovery and translation of Ancient Tibetan Manuscript. In addition Tremendous Social Service of Lectures to more than 900 Schools, Colleges and Universities on Yoga and Health classes. 54 free medical Camps, Rural Plantation in whole Jammu province, Identification and honour to 70 Unknown Innovators and Discoverers in Special functions held at Udhampur on behalf of Duggar Heritage Society. He has also been honoured several times by National & International Agencies Including Govt. of J&K. |
