Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 3: The Governor who is contemplating appointing two more advisors is likely to call the meeting of the BJP and PDP before the final decision.
According to the sources the Governor has shortlisted the name of two former IAS officers and is pushing their case with the home ministry. He has though been advised to hold a meeting with the PDP and BJP before taking a call on it. The Governor had held a meeting with the BJP leaders including former Deputy CM Nirmal Singh and also the BJP state unit president Sat Pal Sharma. They were briefed about the party's stand. The Governor has also been receiving inputs about the BJP's stand from the Central government on the government formation.
Sources said the PDP president may also be invited again by the Governor to explain her position since in the last meeting with the Govenror the PDP had not given any tangible inputs where it stands on the issue of the government formation.
"The PDP has to make its stand clear before the Governor so that he can go ahead with the appointment of the advisors. The delay in formation is affecting the normal governance as the Governor alone can't handle all the things," said a senior official.
The Governor has already appointed two advisors which was seen as a 'pressure' tactics on PDP but since the party has not made its stand clear even after it, the appointment of two more advisors will set the tone that even the Central government is not-keen' on the government formation and is satisfied on running the state on its own.
"The ball is now in the PDP' s court. The Governor with the cleand and effective administration is actually adding to the credit of the Modi government as it has allowed him to work efficentely on the ground and with more people giving postitive response to it, the BJP will be in advantegous position," said the BJP leader.
