SHOs trying to keep new 'boss' in good humour
4/8/2016 11:37:29 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Apr 8: The SHOs of different police stations in Jammu district are alleged to be taking all the requisite steps to keep their new 'boss' in good humour so that he does not touch them as and when he orders transfers and postings at thana level.
Apart from taking rounds of the office of their boss, they are also taking utmost care in their day-to-day working so that he does not get annoyed, according to police sources.
Some of them had stooped so low that they had even started bringing changes in their lifestyles as per the choice of their new boss, sources said.
But the boss had so far maintained a distance from the SHOs and was not allowing them to get closer to him, the sources added. The SHOs, however, were worried more because he was monitoring their performance ever since he took over as their boss and had been making surprise visits to their jurisdictions, the sources added.
"But these SHOs are so shrewd that they have activated all their resources to get closer to him so that no disciplinary or departmental action was initiated against them in case something unlawful happens in the areas that fall under their respective jurisdictions," sources said.
Those, who hoped to get 'important' police stations, were also taking rounds of the office of the boss as he was expected to issue the first transfer list of SHOs anytime, the sources added.
Some of them were also getting their names recommended to the boss from the latter's seniors, sources informed.
"To show to their boss how efficient they are, a few of them are also alleged to be taking the help of their known smugglers to make recoveries of banned articles," sources said.
