Under play NIT incident, CM tells BJP
4/8/2016 11:41:32 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 8: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has told the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to 'underplay' uncalled for incidents like NIT. She said the two parties had to run a coalition government and her first priority is communal harmony.
"I had told my BJP ministerial colleagues the need to underplay the uncalled for incident, as ultimately the two parties have to run the coalition government," the CM told a new channel.
The CM had also said that it's not an issue as is being made out to be and as being highlighted by certain people as 'communal incident'. The CM with these observations has made it clear that the underlying principal of the coalition government is also that both the parties respect each others sensibilities.
The CM with her remarks has suggested that BJP should desist from playing the 'negative' politics as it's now a coalition partner and not an opposition party and she had also suggested the BJP's politics with an eye of other states can have direct bearing on the state.
Mehbooba Mufti earlier suggested to BJP to not vitiate the atmosphere with its politics about other politically volatile states.
It's for this reason she had also reiterated in the interview that J&K is not another state as here ground realities are a bit different.
The BJP under attack from the opposition is raking up the issue to show that it's far ahead of the others as far as 'nationalism' is concerned.
It's for this reason it's being crticised in leading media houses of the country especially their editorials. And these are the media houses which don't play the rhetorics as in some news channel.
The CM also expressed faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said the PM wants to change the development face of the valley' but also cautiouned the Centre that they shouldn't fall in the trap of treating J&K like another state.
