For Cong anti-national JNU students are priority; not nationalist NIT students
Cong equally responsible for woes of non-local students

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 8: Although the BJP could not escape from the responsibility of brutality inflicted on the non-local students of NIT, Srinagar, the opposition Congress is also equally responsible for woes of the vulnerable students because party leadership has failed to corner its arch rival BJP on this issue.
Instead of taking on BJP for its failure to protect those students who dared to hoist national flag in NIT campus, Congress leadership is giving confusing statement. Some Jammu based Congress leaders had addressed a press conference but Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has failed to corner "exposed" BJP on this issue, which has potential to snowball into a big political controversy across the nation.
Credible sources in the Congress circle revealed that a group within the PCC is not ready to openly support victims of police brutality because they are eying on their vote banks in some pockets of Jammu and in the whole Valley of Kashmir. These leaders are creating hurdles in clearing party's open stand on this issue.
Credible sources said that a faction was interested that like JNU, Congress president Rahul Gandhi should visit NIT Srinagar to counter BJP's fictitious campaign on nationalism. This group argued that Rahul Gandhi's tour will help the party to expose BJP's fake nationalism across the nation but this attempt was sabotaged by some party leaders who have stakes in Valley and some pockets of Jammu region.
After the so-called nationalist BJP has shown its back to the non-local students, who dared to unfurl national flag and shouting pro-India slogans in Kashmir Valley, these students were hoping that being a national Congress will support them but nothing has been done so far by the party in this direction.
