Srinagar, Apr 8: Block Development Officer Miran Sahib Jammu, who was attached by Rural Development Minister on Wednesday for remaining absent unauthorizedly, has been awarded a prize posting in BJP Minister's office. The issue, which could affect collation partner's (PDP-BJP) work culture. Reports said that Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice Abdul Haq Khan on Wednesday visited Miran Sahib and Satwari areas of Jammu. During his surprise visit, Minister found Block Development Officer Miran Sahib Naresh Kumar and other five officials absent from the duties. Taking a serious view of unauthorized absence of BDO Miran Sahib Naresh Kumar and other officials, the minister directed to attach BDO to Directorate of Rural development and suspension of Section Officer Sandhya Pathak, Assistant Account Officer Neelam Kumari, Junior Assistant Pawan Kumar, CIC operator, Vikram Singh Charak and Data Entry Operator, Nisha Kumari. He also directed Assistant Commissioner Development Jammu who is appointed as enquiry officer to submit a report in this regard at the earliest. However, interestingly, on Thursday Director Rural Development Jammu, M L Raina issued an order directed attached BDO to join personal section of Minister for PHE, irrigation and Flood Control. "As per the verbal instructions of the Minister for PHE, irrigation and Flood Control, Naresh Kumar, Block Development Officer presently attached with this directorate shall report in the personnel section of Minister for PHE, irrigation and Flood Control for further details," reads the Oder, issued by the director on Thursday. Both the ministers were not available for a comment as both avoided repeated calls from Early Times.
