Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 8: Senior Congress leader, former minister and General Secretary J&K PCC Dr Manohar lal Sharma condemned the brutal cane charge of police on the innocent students of NIT Srinagar and said it shows BJP's commitment towards nationalistic forces.
Questioning the silence of BJP-PDP government over the issue, Dr Sharma criticized the role and the way of BJP government in state and centre to deal the burning and sensitive issue of NIT Srinagar is not satisfactory.
"BJP always played double standard to deal the national related issues, said Dr Sharma while adding, "The BJP speaks much about the national issues but did nothing towards the solution of problems and only provoke the sentiments of the people for their political gain."
Dr Sharma further said why the both state and central governments failed to check anti national activities including anti Indian slogans and hoisting of Pakistani Flags in a routine manner and the brutal attack by the Police in campus on the innocent students who were chanting National slogan with national flag.
Dr Sharma said that the recent development over the "U" turn of Pakistan over the JIT on Pathankote militant attack is a big jolt to the Modi government Pakistan policy and similar response from the Chinese in UN Security Council which vetoed to defeat India against in the case of "Azhar Masood" a dreaded militant and founder of "Jaish-e- Mohammad"
Dr Sharma also showed anguish over the double standard and casual approach of Deputy Chief minister Dr Nirmal Singh for his statement about the brutal police action on non local students in NIT Srinagar. He demanded a strict action against the erring police officers and a through judicial probe by sitting High Court Judge.
