Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 8: Coming appropriate to its name the SAVE-NGO, today rescued a trapped buffalo which got stuck in an open drain in Nehru Market at 9 pm. The services of NGO were sought by the concerned locals and police. According to reports, the volunteers of SAVE-NGO rushed to the spot and put their hectic efforts to rescue the Buffalo trapped in an open drain at Nehru Market since 9:00pm last night. "The PCR and Nehru market police constable called the chairman of the Save NGO, Rumpy Madaan to send team for rescue at 10.50 pm, and she dispatched a team of volunteers to the spot," reports added. "During the rescue operation of animal, the SAVE volunteers noticed that the opening was too small to bring out the buffalo, reports said adding, " thus the volunteers sought help of JCB which was impressed into service with the initiate from Transport Officer Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Talit Mehmood. The rescue operation took almost five hours and finally the SAVE's team pulled the buffalo out at around 4:00 am this morning. Dr Aman Taj - veterinarian with SAVE NGO was also called who gave first aid to the trapped animal before sending it to Roop Nagar Animal Care Centre. |
