HC notice to CM's principal Secy, Director Estates | Govt accommodation to 'advocate' rejected | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 4:: In a petition filed by a visually impared advocate, challenging the October 21, 2013 government order No 216-Est whereby his claim for allotment of government accommodation under 5 pc discretionary quota of the estates minister was rejected, high court judge Tashi Rabstan today issued notices to the Chief Minister's Principal Secretary, Director Estates, and Deputy Director Estates, Jammu. After hearing petitioner Suraj Singh's counsels, the judge also issued a notice to the additional advocate general. The counsels submitted that the high court vide its November 27, 2012 judgement had directed the government to consider the petitioner's claim for allotment of government accommodation under 5 pc discretionary quota, but the director estates had issued the impugned order by virtue of which his case was rejected. After considering their submissions, Justice Rabstan issued notices to the CM's Principal Secretary, Director Estates, and Deputy Director Estates, Jammu, for filing their response within one week. A notice was also issued to the AAG. (JNF) |
