Woman BJP leader shares stage with Farooq State unit aghast, takes serious note 6/5/2016 12:22:10 AM ET Report srinagar, June 4: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a strong note of one of its woman leader's sharing the dance floor with National Conference patron Dr Farooq Abdullah in Srinagar. The video of NC patron shaking his leg on Bhumbroo, Bhumbroo, Kashmiri number along with Farooq Naziki and singer Waheed Jeelani has gone viral on the social networking site Facebook and What's Up. Everyone has taken a note about Dr Farooq enjoying the music and shaking his leg but the BJP has taken a serious note about the woman BJP leader sharing the stage with the flamboyant NC leader. In the video the NC patron could be seen holding the hand of the woman BJP leader and inviting her to dance with him. Sources told Early Times that BJP leaders are aghast at woman leader of the party sharing the stage with Dr Farooq Abdullah and "enjoying the company" of the leaders from the rival camp. "BJP leaders, especially women leaders, are expected to maintain sanctity of the party and the post which they have been elevated too," they added. A senior BJP leader said, "BJP and its leaders believe that there is no place of dance and comedy in the politics. We believe in serious politics. Our leaders all over the country have set an example by the discipline they have followed. BJP leaders have never been seen taking part in any dance shows or acting like comedians. It's really unfortunate that senior woman leader of the party became a part of the show which ended up with senior political leaders acting as comedians." Sources said, "The woman BJP leader appearing alongside the NC leaders has not gone well with the party's state unit as most leaders are of the opinion that BJP leaders should stay away from the NC leaders to avoid any confrontation with its coalition partner Peoples Democratic Party." They said, "The people who join BJP are told in clear terms that they have to follow certain set of rules and have to ensure that discipline is not violated at any point of time so that no one gets a chance to point a finger towards them. BJP leaders have to ensure that they lead from the front. Discipline and steadfastness are the basic fundamentals of the BJP. Woman leaders have to be extra cautious.
