NABARD's financial literacy awareness programme organized

Rajouri, June 13: Human Organisation for Patronisation of Environment (HOPE), Rajouri organized a financial literacy awareness programme at Kalas , Karyote and Kot villages at Thana Mandi Block of Rajouri here today.
According to press release, Rakesh Kumar, President of HOPE informed that these programmes was organised with the financial assistance of NABARD under Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF) maintained by NABARD.
In his address, he explained that the objective of the Financial Literacy Awareness Programme is to create awareness among the public to have a bank account with a bank and its benefits to them. The participants were also informed that they can also open an account with a zero balance in a bank.
The programme was attended by the officers from Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department and Animal Husbandry Department, branch managers of J&K Bank branch Palanger and a large number of farmers of these villages.
