Early Times Report JAMMU, June 13: The BJP MLC, Ajat Shatru Singh, who took the Government of India head on for treating anti-national separatists as VIPs may face action for speaking the truth as the BJP high command is believed to have taken a strong exception about him (Singh) exposing the "real face" of the BJP led NDA government about it being soft towards separatists. Singh's crime is that he used the floor of the Legislative Council to attack the Government of India's policy towards Kashmiri separatists. On Friday, he said: "From hotel to food to air tickets everything is being paid by the Government of India, while separatists holiday outside the state. On an average, the government spent around Rs 100 crore on separatists every year". He made this statement during zero hour session claiming that that the government of India and Jammu and Kashmir had spent a whopping Rs 560 crore in the past five years. Ajat Shatru Singh didn't stop just there. He further said: "Same government has provided more than 950 PSOs to people who seek Azadi from India. The Government of India is paying all the travel and hotel expenses of separatists outside J&K", and added that it was absurd that the government had failed to provide security to the legislators. "The government, which spends on the security, travel and other facilities of the Hurriyat people, does not provide security and transport facilities to the legislators of this house despite taking up issue repeatedly with the concerned authorities". "India is the only place in the world where people who seek separation from it, are also getting funds for their security and travelling expenses," he said. Insiders said the "party high command has taken a strong exception to what Ajat Shatru Singh said in the Legislative Council, as what he said was a direct attack on the Narendra Modi led Government, which has been in power since May 2014". "There are reasons to believe that disciplinary action against the said MLC is in the offing," sources added. |
