| JKPCC condemns militant attack at Kud | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 13: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee have strongly condemned the militant attack on security forces and civilians today at Kud near Patnitop.
In a statement issued here today, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Shrama have conveyed condolences to the family members of the bereaved and sympathise with those injured in the incident. They asked for adequate exgratia relief to the families of the deceased and to the injured persons.
The Congress leaders asked the security forces to maintain a close vigil on the activities of militants in the border belt, as many attacks have been witnessed in this region in the recent past.
Strongly condemning the terrorist attack, Congress Spokesperson termed the incident as a major security lapse and total failure of the Modi Government which had adopted a soft approach towards Pakistan and terrorism. He further demanded an inquiry in this matter, that who a terrorist with guns was travelling in government owned bus.
Terming the incident as most unfortunate, he conveyed deep sympathy with the families of those who were killed by the terrorists. He has termed the attack as a cowardly and frustrated act of militants, who have almost lost ground and people's support in the State. He asked the Pakistan to desist from providing support to such groups. |
