Police arrest 2 bovine smugglers, rescue 41 animals | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, June 13: As a part of drive against menace of bovine smuggling, Rajouri Police on intervening night of June 12 and 13 on specific information laid nakas/checking at different places Buthani, Muradpur and other areas. During naka checking Police seized 4 Tata Mobiles bearing registration No JK11A 2441, JK11 5232, JK11B 4673 and JK11 4676 and rescued 28 bovine animals which were on their way from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi-Mughal Road without any permission. Bovine smugglers fled away from the spot taking the advantage of darkness. In this connection, Case FIR Nos.361/2016, 362/ 2016, 363/2016, 364/2016, U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA have been registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigation going on. Similarly, Police rescued 10 bovine animals which are being smuggled from Nowshera to Rajouri without any permission. Bovine smugglers fled away from the spot taking the advantage of darkness. In this connection, case FIR Nos.78/2016, 79/2016 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA have been registered at Police Station Nowshera and Police have started further investigation into the matter. In a similar case, on a specific information Police laid naka at Sailsui Kalakote. During naka checking Police Seized a TATA Mobile bearing registration No JK12A-0318 and rescued 3 bovine animals which were being smuggled from Kalakote to Rajouri without any permission. Police arrested 2 Bovine smugglers identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed of Surankote, Poonch and Mohd Hussain son of Jalal Din of Surankote, Poonch In this connection, case FIR No 37/2016 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA has been registered at Police Station Kalakote and Police has started further investigation into the matter. |
