Jammu, June 13: National Conference's Minority Cell on Monday staged a massive protest demonstration at Press Club Jammu against lack of facilities at Kheerbhawani Tulmulla, which led to enormous difficulties to the devotees who thronged from Jammu and various parts of the country to pay obeisance at the historic temple on annual Mela. "Mismanagement at various levels was galore and the devotees were almost left to fend for themselves for want of various basic services", Minority Cell President Mr M K Yogi said while castigating PDP-BJP coalition for lack of direction and will to govern. He also referred to upcoming Maha Kumbh at Prayag Raj Sangam Shadipora on 14th June till 16th June and sought full proof security for the pilgrims besides various other facilities. He said the coalition government has failed in the upkeep of shrines and temples across the Valley that has caused anguish among the minority community. The Minority Cell also expressed anguish over erratic power and drinking water facilities in Jagati and urged the government to take all necessary steps in ensuring these, keeping in view the ongoing scorching summer months. "Denial of basics has been accumulating difficulties of the people and the insensitive government has all along been ignoring the aspirations of the dislocated people", he added. the protesters who were particiapated in the protest Bushan Lal Bhat Ex- MLC Chairman Minority Cell, Anil Dhar, Provincial Vice president Jammu, Jatin Bhat, M L Munshi, Bal Krishan Bhat and others. |
