Jammu, June 13: The District Magistrate, Jammu has imposed ban on private airborne activity like para jumping, paragliding; hoisting of air balloons etc., within a radius of 1 km from any Defense/ Security installation in Jammu. As per an order issued by District Magistrate, Jammu under section 144 of UK CrPC, prior permission of the District Magistrate shall be required in case any such activity is to be conducted anywhere in the district.
As per the order all private agencies involved in such businesses shall disclose the details thereof alongwith the details of their equipments/ items to the Additional Deputy Commissioner(L&O) Jammu, within sixty days of the issuance of this Order.
Similarly anyone willing to start such business or activity shall seek prior permission of the District Magistrate , while as any private or government agency subletting any such equipment/ item to any third person shall do only with prior permission of the District Magistrate. The Order further states that the Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars and SHOs in district Jammu shall ensure compliance to this order. |
