NSF demands probe on death of young lady at SMGS hospital | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 13: The National Secular Forum (NSF) today expressed strong resentment over the death of a lady patient hailing from Sunderbani at SMGS Hospital due to negligence of doctors and demanded high-level probe to fix the responsibility and punishment to the guilty. According to press release, NSF state President Dr Vikas Sharma said that government has completely failed to rein in the erring doctors and Para-medical staffs who have failed to deliver the desirable health care service to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The death of 32-year lady Samta Sudan, hailing from Sunderbani, has once again exposed chinks in the healthcare system of Government Medical College, Jammu where there is no mechanism to fix accountability on account of negligence. Sharma claimed that the death of lady due to the negligence of doctors but till date no accountability has been fixed on the people responsible as the practice was been going on for the past many years. They urged upon Health Minister to order high-level probe to look into the case so that responsibility is fixed on the doctors whose negligence claimed the life of a young lady who is survived by two minor children. |
