Stolen truck recovered

JAMMU, June 13: Gangyal police today claimed to have recovered a stolen truck along with genset.
Police spokesman said that June 5, 2016 one Inderjeet Singh son of Rajinder Singh of Shiva Colony gave a written complaint that he is the owner of truck bearing registration number JK02N -3866 and had parked his truck opposite D.MART store Kunjwani Bye Pass. He further stated in the complaint that one Genset of Sudhir Company costing 17lakhs was loaded in the truck which was bound for Srinagar. The complainant parked his truck and went to his home at Shiva colony adjacent D MART Store. In the morning when he came to take his vehicle to Srinagar he found the truck along with Genset missing.
On receipt of this complaint a case under FIR No 61 under section 379 of RPC was registered and investigation started.
During investigation several teams were dispatched to various areas and finally one Raj Kumar son of Munshi Ram of Sonal Bajalta Distt Udhampur was picked up for questioning and on his disclosure truck alongwith Genset was recovered.
During investigation it came to fore that the accused RajKumar is a habitual truck lifter and during questioning confessed that prior to this he had lifted one truck from Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu bearing registration number JK02R-6733 (Case under FIR No 58/2016) Bagh-e-Bahu two trucks from the jurisdiction of Narwal police station (case FIR No82/2015 and 239/2015) Bahu Fort police station, one truck from the jurisdiction of police post Gadigarh. On the disclosure of the accused 4 tyres of trucks, two Batteries, two rims of tyres, a jack and other material were recovered from one Joginder Pal son of Tunda Ram of Tirad Distt Samba. The said tyres were sold by the accused Raj Kumar to Joginder Pal and accordingly Joginder Pal was also booked under section 411 of RPC and arrested (receiver of the stolen property). Further investigation is in progress and more recoveries likely affected in future.
