Jammu, June 21: Flaying Jammu Kashmir Project Construction Corporation for 'embezzlement', People's Action & Public Accountability (PAPA) said that it should be renamed as Jammu Kashmir Permanent Corruption Corporation.
According to press release, the NGO alleged that it was height of J&K state rulers those can go to any extent for personal gains.
Well knowingly about the defunct status of JKPCC, late Mufti Sayeed appointed one of the most shady officials of the state as its Managing Director and during enquiry it revealed that his name was recommended by congress leader & ex-CM Ghulam Nabhi Azad, PAPA added.
1000 pages report can be prepared on corrupt stories of past related to this corrupt corporation and many a times such stories were publicized but as usual no concrete outcome was ever observed, it added.
Recent exposure related to the appointment of most shady face as MD of JKPCC is sufficient to observe that big political fish of the state are part of this unholy nexus and in that case, this corporation is merely milky cow for the corrupt, it further added.
We had suggested earlier that it needs to be renamed as "Jammu Kashmir Permanent Corruption Corporation" (JKPCC), PAPA stated.
Under repair 4th Tawi Bridge at Bhagwati Nagar is also a sample of corrupt JKPCC which is constructed with so many errors, PAPA alleged. Its 90 degree angle like edge on Southern side can easily be noted even by an illiterate Masson which is the cause of its repeated damaging, PAPA stated.
Lacking one extra span on southern side, it is difficult to protect it and its repeated repair will never sustain and just prove bait for the corrupt management of JKPCC in addition to the multiple troubles related to the vehicular traffic, it added. |
