PSC 'copy pastes questions from master guide'
Screening test for 10+2 lecturers

Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, June 21: In what could be another scam like BOPEE, the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service commission (JKPSC) has made a cruel joke and mockery of the recently held exam for the post of 10 +2 English lecturers which was held on June 5, 2016 across various centers in J&K. Instead of setting paper through noted professors and educationists, the authorities at PSC have copied 90 % of the questions from a master guide namely Popular Master Guide UGC (NET,SET) English Literature R Gupta series by H S Bhatia.
Details available with Early Times reveal that PSC had given particular syllabus to aspiring lecturers, but the candidates were shocked to see that hardly any question was carried out of that syllabus and instead multiple choice questions were copied from R Gupta's English literature book. The questions have been copy pasted from page number 3 to 10 and this seems to be a mega scam.
As per the norm, most of the examination bodies set question papers independently of a particular book so that all candidates get a fair chance of answering the questions. But in a shocking revelation, the question paper set by JKPSC for the post of 10+2 lecturers, the screening test was shamelessly copy-pasted
It is alleged that some candidates have already been told by some touts in PSC that questions would be asked from R Gupta's English literature book , and for this hefty money has been allegedly taken as bribe by some officials, bureaucrats etc. Pertinent to mention that screening test has 60% weightage and rest 20 points each are for personal interview and extra qualifications / publications.
" After BOPEE scam the touts are scared to make open sale of question papers , now they seem to have found new ways , just copy paste questions from a particular book and pass on this information to those candidates from whom money has been taken. I appeal Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Chairman JKPSC to probe into this scam without any delay "said Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat Founder / Convener of J&K RTI Movement.
