Jammu, June 21: A meeting of several Sikh organizations was today held on the occasion of Guru Purav in which various demands were discussed. According to press release, the organizations which took part in the meeting were Bhai Kanahiya Nishkam Seva society J&K, Sikh United Front J&K, All India Sikh Students Federation, Sikh Welfare Society, Sikh Naujawan Sabha, J&K Motor Transport company Association Jammu.
They thanked Chief minister Mehboobha Mufti and Dy. Chief Minster Dr. Nirmal Singh, for announcing holiday on "Prakash Ustav" of the sixth guru ji Guru Hargobind Sahib and further also expressed that holidays may please be declared as per the Nanak Shahi Calender of Shiromani Gurdawara PrabandhakCommittee Anritsar. |
