| Kidnapped minor recovered, abductor held | | |

Jammu, June 21: Police today claimed to have recovered a kidnapped minor and also apprehension of alleged kidnapper.
Sharing details of incident, Police spokesman said," On June 9, one complainant Tara Chand of Kali Mansan( name changed) lodged complaint with police alleging therein that his daughter (name withheld) has been kidnapped by Sohan Lal son of Babi Ram of Kaliyan Mansan Phallain Mandal.
"Acting on the complaint a case under FIR 106/2016 under section 363/109 of RPC was registered in Satwari police station and investigation started to recover the kidnapped girl," Police spokesman said, adding, "meantime SSP Jammu Sunil Gupta directed to make all out efforts to recover the kidnapped girl and special teams were constituted on the directions of SSP Jammu by SP south Shahzad Ahmed Salaria."
"Today on a specific information Police Party headed by Inspector Manjeet Singh, SHO Satwari and SI Masqoor Ahmed Wani in-charge police post Phallain Mandal conducted raid in Gangyal area in the early hours of morning and succeeded in arresting accused person namely Sohan Singh son of Babi Ram of Kali Manahasa," police spokesman said.
He added that police team also rescued the kidnapped girl from his clutches of her abductor. Police spokesperson said that after conducting legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents while the accused is being questioned. |
