LMD books 14 defaulters, imposes Rs 23,000 fine 7/2/2016 10:59:45 PM Early Times Report Jammu, July 2: A team of Legal Metrology Department under the supervision of Deputy Controller Consumer Protection, V.S Sambyal, today conducted checking in several areas of Shivaji Chowk, Gandhi Nagar, Gangyal, Channi Narwal and adjoining locations in view of Ramadan and Shri Amaranthji yatra. During inspection, fourteen business establishments were found violating the provisions of J&K Weights and Measures Act. The defaulters were booked and compounded on the spot for Rs.23,000/- by the team.
