Jammu, July 2: Although it has been established from the initial investigation that a person managed to get PHE domestic water supply connection by using unfair means on a disputed piece of land at village Raya of tehsil Vijaypur which is under litigation yet Police has failed to register FIR against the accused of committing fraud. The Early Times has already highlighted the issue in one of its editions that PHE Samba Division had issued a water connection to one Varinder Singh who allegedly claimed to be the owner of the land by producing tampered documents. "But after lodging complaint by another person namely Ran Singh with the department that land belongs to him and under litigation. The Department subsequently scrutinized the documents including the court stay order copy produced by Ran Singh, PHE Department issued an order for the immediate disconnection of water supply connection but now it has been established that Varinder Singh obtained PHE water connection by deceiving the department which draw legal action and can be booked under law but shockingly the Police Station Vijaypur is not registering FIR against the accused," sources informed. They further said it has been more than one month since the lodging of complaint with the Police Station Vijaypur but not action against the accused has been taken it. Despite producing number of valid documents which vindicates that Varinder Singh illegally got water connection on disputed land and has been stayed by High Court Jammu and any kind of activity on the said land is termed as contempt of court yet Police is not taking matter serious by not converting complaint into FIR. With his malicious intention to obtain water supply connection, Varinder Singh produced Khasra Gordawari No. 1536 of Ran Singh and affidavit in which he claimed to be the owner of said land mentioning that he has constructed a house on land a connection be issued but surprisingly department without verifying the documents produced by the applicant issued connection. |
