Education ministry fails to decentralize urgent works surprising | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 2: Hundreds of private schools' files related to grant in extension of affiliation & recognition are pending before the J&K Board of school education, for approval and need an early clearance from the state committee, expressed by "Jammu Pvt. Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive). Though it was revealed that meeting was fixed five days back but was deferred due to recent transfer/attachment of Commissioner Shaleen Kabra for his shady conduct whereas it could have been managed by the special secretary or the additional secretary of the school education department, Association added. It is quite surprising on the part of school education ministry that failed to decentralize its day to day urgent nature of working like grant in extension of affiliation/recognition of private schools those have completed a long and tough procedural task in the prevailing corrupt and dummy work culture within the govt. departments, Association added. Any more delay on the part of state Govt. will just multiply the confusions among stakeholders, it added. Pertinent to mention here that after depositing the prescribe fee with JK Board in June of every year, every private school management has to initiate its uphill task of completing the meaningless formalities merely mandatory for private schools and it takes at least 6-7 to complete such hurdle-full process and validity of certificates of different authorities is one year which can lapse in next two months in majority of applicant schools, Association stated. In such conditions, one man show of state govt's machinery will certainly problematic for the stakeholders, it added. |
