Defunct SBI's ATM leaves Poonch residents fuming | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, July 2: The people of Poonch district are left fuming with the non-adherence of their complaints about defunct State Bank of India's (SBI) Automated Teller Machine (ATM). The local alleged that bank authorities are not bothered to rectify the technical snags as a result people are facing the burnt. "We are fed up with day to day technical snags and shortage of cash in SBI's ATM," one of the customers lamented, adding none is there to listen to our issues. "The bank authorities seem least bothered to rectify the technical snags as a result people are not able to withdraw the salary and other payments especially during the holy month of Ramadan," said Javid Shiekh a local. According to the locals students faces many problems today as it was last date of admission in Govt Degree College (GDC) Poonch. Irked over the defunct services, many students and their parents alleged SBI authorities virtually have failed to come up to the expectations of the customers. Some going beyond alleged that they (bank authorities) have not got their ATM functional as whenever one does money a transaction the bank get commission and in alleged leagues with other banks the SBI official have not got their ATM fully functional. Not only students, but the business community and employees too complained about non functioning of the SBI's ATM making customers to face tough time because users have to walk long distances to withdraw money from other ATMs. |
