Early Times Report Ramban, July 3: :As many as 126 including 31 women volunteers donated blood in a day long camp organised by the Sant Nirankari Mission (SNM) under the supervision of its Udhampur Zone Incharge, B P Singh and its Batote branch head Mulkhraj Bhagat at its Satsang Bhawan, today. Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramban Neelam Kumar Langeh was the chief guest on the occasion, whereas Tehsildar Batote, Srinath Suman, Naib Tehsildar Batote, Saifullah Shah and District president Congress (women wing) Narinder Kour also present in the function. The camp was organised in collaboration with the Department of Blood Transfusion Medicine, Government Medical, College, Jammu (DBTMGMC), Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu and the Community Health Centre, (CHC),Batote. In one of the country's biggest donations the volunteers of this Mission has so far reportedly donated about 9 lac units of blood through various blood donation camps across India since 1986 when it's last saint Baba Hardev Singh had exhorted his followers to "Give blood,not take blood" and had held first blood donation camp in Delhi.
