JAMMU, July 3: A DIG of J&K police is alleged to be forcing his juniors to arrange for him expensive cars which he needs to take trips to Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh with his 'lady' friend. As SSP, he held an important posting, but after his transfer to a less important wing and his subsequent promotion as DIG, PHQ was yet to post him at some significant place, police sources said. Of late, he had developed the habit of forcing his juniors to arrange expensive cars for him. "In these cars, he either goes to Chandigarh or Himachal Pradesh on short trips along with his lady friend at least twice a month," sources alleged. "Though he has an official car, he doesn't take it when he goes out of the state along with his lady friend. This car either remains parked in his office or at residence," sources informed, saying, "He mostly asks district SPs to arrange expensive cars for him." Almost everyone in the department knew why he needed expensive cars to venture out of the state. His juniors were now fed up with his habit, sources said. |
