Jammu, July 3: Despite passing of seven years of submitting feasibility report for up-gradation of a High School, which was established in the year 1956, failed to see light of the day and the file is still gathering the dust in the Education Department. As per documents in the possession of Early Times stated that locals of Jatwal had moved a representation to the then Education Minister for up-gradation of Government High School Jatwal to Higher Secondary School block Ghagwal, Tehsil and District Samba and acting on the representation of the locals, the then Education Minister marked the then Secretary Education to execute the process for the up-gradation of the school. "A feasibility report regarding the up-gradation of the high school Jatwal to Higher secondary School vide no. DSEJ/P/2009-1-/2075-77 dated September 9 of 2009 (with all the parameters e/g total area, roll of school, nearest high and Higher secondary, feeding schools and staff strength) was also submitted to the then Secretary to Government, School Education Department was also submitted", reads another document. But the up-gradation of the High school Jatwal which was established in the year 1956 has not been started which raise the question over the working and seriousness of the officials of the department for the upliftment of the education sector in the region. |
