Police officer wants to be SHO, camps in Mantri's house | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 3: A police officer is alleged to be camping in a minister's house for his posting as SHO of peripheral police station. He was earlier posted as SHO of a police station in Jammu but following repeated complaints of professional misconduct against him, he was attached to DPL, police sources said. Sources said he was now desperate for his posting as SHO of a police station which 'adjoins the boundaries of Reasi and Udhampur districts'. "For this purpose, he has been camping at the residence of a minister, who is said to be very close to him, here for the past few days," sources informed. Sources said though the minister had spoken to PHQ for his posting, he was told that his favourite police officer would not be posted as incharge of the police station till the Amarnath yatra came to an end. A large portion of the national highway falls under the jurisdiction of this police station. During his earlier posting as SHO, he had started the construction of his house and got building material free of cost from brick kilns and other units that fell under his jurisdiction, sources alleged. |
