Rajouri, July 3: A shopkeeper of Triyath hamlet had to bear the brunt of the wrath of close aides of National Conference leader and the former MLA Kalkote led by his PRO Bhushan Kumar for not following their diktats and opening his shop against their writ. According to sources, these NC workers staged a protest over an unknown and insignificant issue in Triyath and dictated the local shopkeepers to shut their shops and even tried to curb the vehicular movement in the area, protesting over an unknown issue. While the NC activists under the patronage of Bhushan Kumar , the close aide of former NC Kalakote MLA were waging war against the people, they assaulted a shopkeeper namely Satpal s/o Gauri Ram who had opened his shop. Satpal while talking to Early Times said that nearly one dozen NC men barged into his shop and ransacked it. " I told them that I was the only bread earner of the family and could not afford to lose a day's earning as I have to feed my old parents, the goons did not give any heed to my plea and instead beat me blue and black ," said Satpal. The shop owner said that fearing threat to his life, he was left with no option but to close down the shop for the day. "They even threatened to kill me if I did not follow their diktats," said Satpal. After great hardships, Satpal was able to get the complaint registered in Police station Dharamshal. The FIR No 57/16 U/S 452, 147 and 323 were slapped against the NC activist Bhushan Kumar and his goons, but still no action has been initiated against them. Sources told that Bhushan Kumar's brother is a police officer and is evading action due to him. |
