Early Times Report

Srinagar, July 4: In the wake of series of militant attacks on security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, Central Intelligence agencies have asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to make extra security arrangements in the valley and also cautioned security forces and police to be more vigilant.
Highly placed sources told Early Times on Monday that a precautionary advice forwarded to the Jammu and Kashmir government from different intelligence agencies has held that militants and other disruptive groups/elements have general tendency of causing disturbance during the tourist season in the valley.
"It is necessary for security agencies to be prepared to thwart any such attempts.
The state authorities are advised to ensure tight security by properly deploying the security forces in the city and other districts," the sources quoted Central agencies advise said.
Sources said that security agencies have been asked to beef up patrolling in their areas of jurisdiction and keep close eye on inimical elements.
Sources said that the Army has also been asked to remain alert as the neighboring country will try to push more militants to create disturbance in the state.
Officials in the state Home Department said here that every concern communicated to them is valid. "We always take care of such concerns. Every effort is being made not to allow anybody to disrupt peace in J&K," one of the senior officials of the home department said.
Meanwhile sources said that after returning from the two day visit of Kashmir the Union Home minister Rajnath Singh apprised Prime Minister about the recent militant attacks on the security forces in the valley.
Pertinently the attacks carried out by militants in south Kashmir have become the point of concern for the security forces as the militants have already done a heavy damage to the forces in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
