Tanker-minibus collision results injuries to 20 persons

Jammu, July 3: Twenty passengers sustained injuries when the minibus they were travelling in collided with a gad tanker near Barwal Morh falling under the jurisdiction of Kathua police station.
Police said that a gas tanker bearing registration number HR-55M-9168 collided with a Dayala Chack Bound minibus bearing Registration number JK08B-1349 at Highway near Barwal Morh resulting into the injury to 20 passengers including 06 females and one minor boy.
All shifted to District Hospital (DH) Kathua out of these three injured females namely Asha (65) wife of Jawahar Lal of Janglote Morh Kathua, Niranjan (40) alias Manju wife of Satpal of Rangar Pindi Dina Nagar Gurdaspur Punjab and Satya Devi (48) wife of Mulakh Raj of Kharote Kathua have been referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for advance treatment.
Other injured have been identified as Sudarshana Devi (55) wife of Tota Ram of Ward No. 01 Kathua, Shushma (40) wife of Ravinder Singh of Kharakkad Kathua, Kailash Devi (56) wife of Romesh Chander, Romesh (68) son of Hari Ram both residents of Shiva Nagar Kathua, Waryam Singh (70) son of Kura Ram of Dugyal Lakhnote Kathua, Prem Singh son of Major Singh of Logate Morh, Gulshan Kumar (45) son of Jawahar Lal of Kalibari Kathua, Sweeti (45) wife of Naresh Gupta Ward no 04 Kathua, Kanta Devi (50) wife of Chander Pal of Kalibari Kathua, Nisha Devi wife of Paramjit Singh of Rangar Pindi Dina Nagar Gurdaspur, Vijay Kumar (20) son of Ram Lal of ward no 04 Kathua, Kewal Singh (55) son of Inder Singh of Logate Morh, Manik Gupta (10) son of Gulshan Gupta of Logate Morh Kathua, Asha Devi (42) wife of Tara Chand of Lachhipur Kathua, Babbli (35)wife of Kamal Kumar of Janglote Kathua, Neha (34) wife of Rakesh Kumar of Uttri Kathua, Neeru Devi wife of Sudesh Kumar of Ward no 01 Kathua. Police said that a case in this connection has been registered in this connection and a case under FIR No. 275/16 under sections 279 and 337 of RPC has been registered Kathua police station.
