Jawan martyred, another injured Militants attack BSF camp in Baramulla 10/3/2016 9:53:09 PM S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report Baramulla, Oct 3: A BSF jawan was martyred and another sustained injuries when a group of heavily armed militants attacked a camp in Baramulla town. A senior police official said that on Sunday night a group of 3-4 heavily armed militants attacked BSF camp adjacent to a Rashtriya Rifles camp in Janbazpora area of Baramulla town. There was a lot of confusion in the initial gunfire due to which it was difficult to understand which camp was attacked as the heavy exchange of fire was going on from both the sides, the official told Early Times. He said the militants fired several gun shots at the BSF camp. Meanwhile IG BSF Chandra told media persons that one BSF jawan was martyred while another was injured in the attack. He said a joint team of Army, BSF and police cordoned the whole area to nab the militants. "Locals may have given shelter to the militants, but our security personnel are keeping an eagles eye on every moment. The search operation was on till the last reports came in," the IG added. It is pertinent to mention here that on Sept. 18, a group of heavily armed militants of Jaish-e Mohammad carried out an attack on army brigade base camp Uri in which 18 soldiers were killed while as four militants were also neutralized.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
