Bullets replace stones in Valley

Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 3: As Kashmir unrest is all set to end terrorists are coming out of their holes to ensure that disturbance keeps on prevailing in the Valley and normalcy is not restored.
On Sunday afternoon terrorists shot dead a former NC Sarpanch Fayaz Ahmed at Kandizal Pampore in south Kashmir. Later in the night terrorists tried entering into an Army camp in north Kashmir's Baramulla district but the alert troopers thwarted their attempt in the process a paramilitary BSF man was martyred.
Sources told Early Times that 3-month long unrest in Kashmir has provided a chance to terrorists to regroup and organize themselves. "Before the unrest started in Kashmir terrorists were on the run as security forces were after them. The Kashmir unrest diverted the attention of the security forces from the anti-militancy operations to restoring law and order thus providing breathing space to the terrorists," they added.
A source said, "Security agencies are very much aware about the movement of terrorists and their plans but due to them being busy in restoring law and order terrorists are moving around freely. The Kashmir unrest is all set to end. We will be shifting our focus on terrorists soon. They stand identified and would be cornered."
Insiders revealed that during the past three months Pakistan made many attempts to push in the infiltrators but their attempts were foiled by the alert troopers. May be a few terrorists may have succeeded to sneak in but most of their attempts have been foiled."
A defence analyst while talking to this newspaper said, "Pakistan has intensified the firing on the borders and Line of Control (LoC) after India carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). Pakistan seems desperate to hit back by sending terrorists as it knows that it cannot afford a conventional war with India."
He said, "Kashmir unrest was planned by Pakistan and its agents to give a chance to terrorists within Kashmir to regroup and the ones sitting across the LoC to cross over. Most of their nefarious designs have been foiled. Now the only option left with them is to come out and terrorize people."
A Kashmir watcher said, "To begin with terrorists killed a political activist and tried entering 46-RR camp. In coming days there is every possibility about political workers falling prey to the bullets of these Pak sponsored terrorists. Their only job is to kill people and create uncertainty in Kashmir. Separatists have passed on the baton to them. Last days of unrest can prove quite challenging as terrorists would try their best to foment trouble and kill people. Political workers have been advised by Police to maintain a low profile as Pakistan and its agents present in Kashmir have been rattled by the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army in PoK.
