ported Pakistan when its face was being blackened through the surgical operation launched by the Indian troops for demolishing the launch pads where groups of militants had been lodged before being pushed into Kashmir .What scares Pakistan is the growing demand for declaring it a terrorist state and once a country is declared a terrorist state it ceases to be beneficiary of military and non-military aid from other nations.In addition to this a terrorist st ate may lose diplomatic links with many countries.Well China continues to support Pakistan.There is no word from Beijing that it has redeuced military and non-military aid to Pakistan.But how long will Pakistan survive on Chinese kitty ? It is a difficult situation that may force Pakistan to be in.Though for bilateral trade Pakistan does not need sup port from many countries because Pakistan is at the bottom of those nations which have least industrial production. In fact Pakistan has been surviving on monetary aid fropm various nations and trding facilities though it is a one-way affair.
An online White House petition seeking to designate Pakistan a state sponsor of terrorism has gained a record half a million signatures, five times the number needed to get a response from the Obama Administration. The petition was created on September 21 by a person who identified himself by initials RG and the petition needed 1,00,000 signatures in 30 days to get a response from the White House.The benchmark was reached in less than a week, and in less than two weeks, the petition, which now appears to be popular on the White House website, has crossed half a million signatures. As per the petition the Obama Administration is expected to respond to the petition within 60 days.
Supporters of the "We the People ask the Administration to declare Pakistan, State Sponsor of Ter rorism" petition havs set a goal of one million signatures. "We will not stop until we get 10,00,000 signatures," wrote Anju Preet, a scientist at Georgetown University who is associated with the petition on her Facebook Pag e.Pakistan is in a piquant situation.It is scared of the US,the UK and other developed nations.It should not fo that if China has supported Masood Azhar,Chief of Jaish-e-Mohammad,it may not matter because super powers are against the terror strike on the Army camp in Uri in which 19 soldiers were killed.Well in defence :Pakistan cites the alleged atrocities on people of Kashmir where since july 8 over 90 people have been killed,all of them in clashes with the security forces.Who provoked peop;le to clash with security forces ? Nobody but the Pakistan trained militants, Pakistan supported separatists and some Pak based extremists like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.This way let Islamabad take a careful step lest it should be declared a terrorists state. |
