Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 3: In a PIL, alleging hushing up of Chatta-Sunjwan land scam, a high court division bench of first puisne judge, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar and Justice B S Walia today directed the senior AAG to take up the matter with deputy commissioner, Jammu, with regard to non-furnishing of the original record as demanded by crime branch in the land scam. The bench directed the senior AAG to ensure that the entire record was be made available to the CB by or before October 17, 2016 and tehsildar, Bahu, and the concerned field revenue agency would provide the necessary assistance. The bench said in case the needful was not done, action would be initated against the DC, Jammu, tehsildar Bahu and others. Ealier, the petitioner's counsel drew the court attention towards the latest status report of CB, wherein it has expressed inability to complete the probe in view of the non-cooperative attitude of the revenue department. The status report also says that tehsildar, Bahu, vide his letter No 124/08/TB of Sepember 02, 2016 has provided some of the records, ie unattested photocopies of the Jamabandi/Misal-e-Haqiet and Girdawari which were of no use. |
