300000 devotees visit Pingla Devi Shrine

Ramnagar , Oct 3 : Over 300000 devotees from across the state visited the holy cave shrine of Mata Pingla Devi during first three Navratras situated at a hillock in Ramnagar tehsil.
Akhand Jyoti which was lit at Ramnagar on first navratra taken to Mata Pingla Devi Bhawan in a colourful procession enchanting Bhajans & Kirtans on the eve of second Navratra. Nearly 15000 pilgrims accompanied the procession from Ramnagar to Bhawan. On the arrival of sacred Jyoti at Bhawan pujaris offered Puja of Jyoti with recitation of Vedic mantras and showering flowers. To witness the puja of Jyoti thousands of devotees were present The atmosphere of Bhawan was filled with the jaikaras of maa Pingla during pula. After the puja Organizer of Akhand Jyoti committee Vinay Jandial appeals to the public & administration to come forward for the development of Holy Shrine. He said that 29 years ago the Yatra was started by late Sh. O P Jandial & his associates & since then the Yatra is organised by the committee every year with pump and show.He further said that the main aim of Akhand Jyoti committee is to develop the pilgrim & tourist spots of Ramnagar & in this direction committee is making all sincere efforts. He thanked administration & voluntary organisations for their cooperation to make the Yatra a grand success. On this occasion adequate arrangements were made by civil and police departments. A large number of Langer's were also organised by various organizations enroute from base camp kogh to Bhawan. The Yatra lasts for nine days & concludes with Kanya Pujan on Ramnavmi.
