SRINAGAR, Oct 12: Even as the incidents of molestation and harassment of women at workplaces is on rise in J&K, most of the government departments have failed to constitute internal complaint committees (ICCs).
The government had directed administrative heads of all departments many a time to constitute the ICCs to address complaints of sexual harassment at workplaces and submit action taken report with specific recommendations, in accordance with rules.

Jammu, Oct 12: Promoted to the rank of Inspectors General of Police (IGPs), the promotee officers are working as Deputy Inspector General, awaiting their next posting since July this year.
State cabinet in month of July had cleared promotion of six DIGs as IGs, but after lapse of two and half months they are still awaiting postings.

Jammu, Oct 12: Twenty years after its formation, the Forest Protection Force (FPF) has no recruitment rules. The aggrieved accuse successive forest ministers of parroting concern for preservation of forests thus finding no time for framing the much needed rules.
Sources in Forest department informed Early Times that in pursuance to cabinet decision No.12/7 dated 2/12/1996, Forest Protection Force was constituted and in the next few years, Guards and Inspectors were engaged under Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services Classification Control (Appeals) rules of 1956.
